About

Robin Sutherland is a Finland-based mastering engineer with 20 years experience.

Starting in live sound and running a small recording studio, he transitioned to mastering in 2012, building a no-compromise dedicated studio space for it.

As an electronics hobbyist, Robin has hand-build much of the studio’s equipment. His portfolio includes work in TV, film, theatre, video games, and a diverse array of musical genres—covering both independent and major-label projects. Full credits here.

Studio

The studio is custom built for mastering in a repurposed barn in the woodlands of Janakkala, southern Finland. An ideal environment for both in-person and remote mastering sessions.

Services

Mastering is the final artistic and technical step before your recording is sent to a pressing facility or released online. The goal is to ensure consistent audio quality and optimal playback across various systems and formats. This is typically the last opportunity for subtle adjustments and improvements, to balance the overall sound, and to receive a fresh, unbiased perspective on your project.
